I have experience treating clients who are facing a wide variety of concerns including anxiety disorders, trauma, mood disorders, grief, low self-esteem, addiction, divorce and personality disorders, and I hope that my experience and empathy can be used to help you.
I use Cognitive behavioural approaches like dialectical behavioural therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) and Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) during treatment to address your symptoms. I also believe that using a client centered approach throughout treatment; humanistic therapies, primarily client centered therapy is pivotal in helping me understand your worldview and specific problems. During our sessions together, I will continue to check in with you and update your treatment plan as necessary.
I currently hold a Masters in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University and have a Master’s degree in International Relations from the University of Kent. I have also earned an Honors Bachelors degree in Socio-cultural Anthropology from the University of Toronto. I am a member of the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario and am currently a Qualifying member (Registered Psychotherapist Qualifying).
I have had the experience and the privilege of working with diverse communities with various mental health problems within clinical settings, including crisis work. My interest in the human experience and my motivation to help others has allowed me to continuously learn and review the most recent scientific literature on counselling psychology. I have experience in with working with clients from different cultures, socio-economic backgrounds and with the LGBTQ2S+ community. Coming from a diverse background myself, I would love to work and learn about your unique and special story.
